Apollo-Ridge Luau

The sun will be shining on Apollo-Ridge Elementary on Thursday, April 2, 2015 as we celebrate Luau Day in our school.  All students are invited to dress for our Luau!  For a minimal donation of $1, students can dust off their Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses, hats, and leis for a fun-filled sunny day!  All proceeds will benefit the Apollo-Ridge Student Activities fund.  These proceeds will help fund future activities here at school that will benefit all students.  Larger donations are always accepted and greatly appreciated! We have a day of fun in the sun planned for the students!  The cafeteria menu for the day includes a Hawaiian themed choice and an assembly with games, involving both students and staff, will be held in gym.  As Hawaiian surfing legend Duke Kahanamoku said, “Hang ten, dude!”

PARENT SURVEY

February 25, 2015

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Please take the time to take the two surveys below.  The feedback from the families of our students is important to me.  It is my desire to work with parents and staff to reflect on our practices and programs in order to provide the best educational experience for our students.  Each family only needs to respond to one survey for each household.

I thank you in advance for taking the time to provide your feedback.

MORNING DROP-OFF ANNOUNCEMENT

This letter is to remind you that students are not permitted to be dropped off in the morning prior to 8:30am.  Adult supervision is not provided and students will not be permitted to enter the elementary building until then.  It is required that your child remain in your car until the teachers are at their designated stations.

Once the adults are stationed at their assigned locations, and the students can safely cross from the parking lot to the sidewalk, the students will be permitted to proceed to the elementary building.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.  The safety of all students is our utmost priority.
