Kindergarten Registration & Screening Information

PARENTS WHO SCHEDULED KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION FOR MARCH 6, 2013 HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED for THURSDAY, MARCH 14, SAME APPOINTMENT TIME.  Remember to bring your child for screening (testing).

Kindergarten registration & screenings will be held in the elementary lobby on Thursday, March 14, 2013 during the day and evening and Thursday, March 7, 2013 during the day. 

Please call Kimberlie Akins at 724-478-6000 Ext. 5001 to schedule a time for your child’s registration & screening.

If you wish to prepare your paperwork for registration ahead of time, please feel free to download the packet from the attachment below or stop in the elementary office during the school day between 8am – 3pm to obtain a registration packet.

You will need to bring to registration:

·    Your child - he/she will be screened by one of our teachers

    •    Child’s birth certificate

·   3 proofs of residency (lease or mortgage information, driver’s license, automobile registration, auto insurance card, current utility bill(s), tax statements, or public assistance document)

·   Child’s immunization record

·   Parent’s/Guardian’s driver's license or photo ID

· Registration packet if obtained ahead of time



MORNING DROP-OFF ANNOUNCEMENT


This letter is to remind you that students are not permitted to be dropped off in the morning prior to 8:30am.  Adult supervision is not provided and students will not be permitted to enter the elementary building until then.  It is required that your child remain in your car until the teachers are at their designated stations.

Once the adults are stationed at their assigned locations, and the students can safely cross from the parking lot to the sidewalk, the students will be permitted to proceed to the elementary building.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.  The safety of all students is our utmost priority.


Dear Elementary School Parents/Guardians:

Please be advised that the calendar in the parent handbook is incorrect (Grades 1-5 the handbook is in your child's assignment book, Kindergarten students received a hard copy of the parent handbook).

The "no school/holiday" dates state Thursday, Nov. 2, 2012 through Monday, Nov. 26, 2012.  THIS IS INCORRECT.  The "no school/holiday" dates should be Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 through Monday, Nov. 26, 2012. We are sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

Parents can now send ELEMENTARY STUDENT absence excuses via e-mail to the elementary office.  Please e-mail them to:  aresexcuses@apolloridge.com

NOTE:  Excuses must be received in the office within 3 days upon the student's return to school.
