Curriculum content is reviewed on a cyclical basis, with PA Academic Standards and the "Big Ideas" relevant to each subject area driving the scope and sequence developed for instruction. Textbooks, along with relevant technology and activities, serve as resources to deliver that instruction to students. Teachers and students are encouraged to use cooperative activities, independent study, higher-level questioning, and 21st century research skills to allow the curriculum to truly learned in an active and meaningful way.
