Setting Our Course
2010-2011 ANNUAL REPORT The 2010-2011 school year was one of great change for the Apollo-Ridge Education Foundation. And while the board of trustees voted to make the organization dormant, the Foundation was anything but! The focus of the Foundation went from fundraising to community engagement. The hope is that the Foundation will become stronger as a result of this new focus.
CHANGE IN LEADERSHIP Mrs. Anita Bafik, a cornerstone of the non-profit organization since its inception in 1996, and who served as president for eight of those years, resigned in August 2010. Mr. Christopher Clark stepped up to serve as interim president until further notice.
NEW LOOK—NEW FOCUS The new look of the Education Foundation’s logo heralds a new era for its mission. The sunburst design depicts a horizon invoking new beginnings. The new focus of the Foundation is community engagement. The hope is that by building community relationships, the Foundation can encourage increased participation on the board of trustees by individuals not associated with the school. It is becoming increasingly important to educate the community on why schools are good neighbors. Apollo-Ridge currently serves the community as a entertainment and fitness venue. Through increased academic success, it can also serve as a catalyst for increased property values. Download the complete Annual Report from the link below. | ||
