Summer Enrichment Activities

On Thursday, May 31, 2012, students at Apollo-Ridge Elementary School were able to
participate in the annual "Step-Up" Day event.  Step-Up Day allowed students
to meet all of their new teachers for next year and learn about the new
curriculum they will be studying.  This event also allowed the students and
teachers to become familiar with each other and to help ease the transition
from grade level to grade level.  In an effort to keep students engaged over
the summer, students at every grade level received a summer enrichment
assignment to be completed during the summer months.  These enrichment
assignments are designed to help create a knowledge base or prior knowledge
for themes that will be developed during the upcoming school year.  Please
be sure to talk to your child(ren) about their summer enrichment assignments
that were distributed during Step-Up Day because it will be collected and
scored when they return to school next year.  To download the assignment,
