Policymaking is a mandated responsibility of every governing body, including local school boards.  

The Apollo-Ridge School Board continues to work with its stakeholders as well as with the Pennsylvania School Boards Association (PSBA) to develop, adopt and maintain effective policies that comprise both local specifications and the ever-changing state and federal laws and regulations.  

The first three sections (Sections 000, 100 and 200) of the Apollo-Ridge Board Policy Manual have been reviewed and updated completely prior to recent (within the last year or so) adoption. Section 300 is slated for discussion at the January 20, 2009 Committee Meeting.  A first reading of that section will occur at the January 26, 2009 Legislative Meeting.  The second reading and adoption is anticipated for the February 23, 2009 Legislative Meeting.  

Print copies of the Apollo-Ridge Board Policy Manual can be referenced in all District Offices and Library/Media Centers.
